PASTURE RENOVATION

As we travel around the state visiting with forage and livestock producers, we are constantly reminded of the tremendous opportunities that we have, through improved management of our forage base. One of the areas in which we have real opportunities is through extending the grazing season with the utilization of some of our winter annuals. Studies have shown that the single most important management factor affecting profitability in a commercial beef cow operation is feed cost.
